Happy Halloween

Although we had no trick-or-treaters this year (maybe our jack-o-lantern scared them away), Elizabeth got in the spirit with her cute outfit.

More pictures

Family picture time! Too bad Mommy look so tired (I think it is actually red-eye reduction blue around the eyes causing the effect -- but let's face it, she's not sleeping much). At least Elizabeth, Dad, and Jackson look good:) Also, check out the little princess snoozing in her pink (her favorite color by the way) sleeper. We just love her so much!

Great-Grandpa Returns

After lunching at The Blue Water Grill, a delightful restaurant in Newport Beach, Gramps and Paula came by for a quick visit. They all look so cozy! Elizabeth will have to get down to Laguna soon to repay the favor.

More visitors

Admirers of Elizabeth sometimes travel great distances to see her. Christina's friend Carlin came from Seattle to see the little darling:) Carlin will be finishing her residency in Internal Medicine and then do a fellowship in Sports Medicine. We are trying to convince her to return to Southern California -- hopefully Elizabeth can persuade her (you can see they were in deep discussion). We all had a great lunch and were sad to say farewell to Carlin.

Grandma and Aunt Jacklyn also travelled to see Elizabeth again. They came down for some fun girl time while Jason was back on call at the hospital. Elizabeth (with entourage in tow) prowled the malls of Orange County in search of the perfect outfit --- of course she found it!

Hanging out with friends

Jason introduced Elizabeth to his good friend Matt over the weekend. Matt has been so excited about the baby's arrival and bowled over by her beauty that he has now informed fiancee Ashley he is ready to have his own. Whoa there, Matt! Wedding first, then babies:)

Back in Orange County, it was Emily and Pam's turn to meet the little lady. They are great friends of Christina and were entertained by Elizabeth's many activities (eating, sleeping, crying, and pooping). Don't you wish you were here? - of course you do!

First Big Outing

Saturday was a big day for the Hofer Family. This was Elizabeth's first trip to San Diego. She enjoyed a delicious lunch at Fuddruckers and met the rest of the Shevlin family (Don't worry, everyone used hand sanitizer provided by Grandma before holding the baby).

Look how comfortable Great-Grandpa is with Elizabeth.... maybe that is where Grandpa got his "baby whisperer" abilities from. Great-Grandma looks pretty cozy herself.

After lunch, Elizabeth met her other Great-Grandma. Look at the four generations all together. It was so nice to see her doing so well. We will have to visit again soon.

Baby model

Just another cute picture of Elizabeth sleeping on Daddy, along with hard evidence that he is not the only one sleeping on the job:) Mommy needs rest sometimes as well.

Grandma visits the active baby

This week has been a bit busier with Jason being back at work. However, Grandma has been staying with us to help out -- such a blessing! Don't they look comfy! Elizabeth has been more active this week, which we of course had to capture. See the little movie of her just looking at Mommy - could there be a video that is more exciting?!

We have finally finished updating this last week. Take a look. From now, all new posts will be in order (hopefully!).

Catholic baby

Today, after a long, relaxing walk with Daddy along the beach, we visited Christina's choir friends at church. We are so blessed. Look how precious Elizabeth looks in her little dress! She was pooped out when we got back as you can tell. Many thanks to Evelyn and Cheryl Hall for this little item.

USC Fan!

Even though Elizabeth was born on the day Stanford upset USC, she remains a loyal USC football fan. Here she is watching the USC game upstairs in the shirt that neighbor Stephen gave her. Fight on!

Aunt Jacklyn and Uncle Jeremy

Elizabeth's aunt and uncle stopped by today for a visit. Look how cute (and comfortable) they are with the baby... is it their turn soon? We'll see:) Jeremy already looks like a pro! It was so nice of them to come down. We hope to see them again soon.

Movie star

Today Elizabeth is one week old. Incredible that it has already been a week. She amazes us everyday. Here is a video with her daddy. Push PLAY to watch. So cute!

Bath Time

Elizabeth's umbilical cord came off Satuday, so we gave her a bath for the first time. Lasted about 2 minutes and she didn't love it, but she looks so sweet wrapped in her towel!

Great-grandpa Hofer visits

Today, Gramps visited Elizabeth with great-uncle Brett and family friend Lynn. It was great to see them all - and to let them admire our little angel:)

Look at our little model posing for the camera -- Jason swears he did not put her in that position! Mama and Elizabeth getting ready for yet another feeding.

Day 6

After a slightly more restful night last night, we had a relaxing day at home. Christina's friend Laura came by to see the baby and to deliver some delicious home-made lasagna. Elizabeth was a great hostess -- slept the entire time in Laura's arms. Jason got a quick surf in as well.

Day 5

Big day today. Elizabeth had her first pediatrician appointment. Getting out of the house with a newborn is something else! Christina didn't get enough breakfast and Jason didn't have coffee -- so you can imagine the mood as we checked into the clinic:) Fortunately, our doctor was great and we got the good news that Elizabeth had been gaining weight and looked healthy. Check her out sticking her tongue out in the car seat. Feeling better, we headed over to visit Christina's friend Leah who is a mother of two for some advice and support. Her daugther Lacy loved Elizabeth as you can see. After our visit we headed to Babies R' Us (Jason thought he was done with this place, but found out otherwise) for some baby supplies and then home. It was quite a long day for both Elizabeth and the new (sleep deprived) parents!

Day 4

Last night was our first night home--not a lot of sleep as Elizabeth was so excited to be home that she stayed up nearly the entire night! Jason got a crash course in changing diapers (he swears he can do it in his sleep now) and Christina found out just how much a baby can eat! During the day both Elizabeth and parents lounged around the house and relaxed.

Day 3

Finally home! Now begins the real fun. We are home and settling in. Jackson did well with the baby - looks like he is her protector already:) Can't believe we are really parents - no going back now!

Baby Elizabeth: Day 2

More pictures for you to enjoy - check out the funny face with her eyes open!
